Natalie is trying so hard to sit up these days! She loves to be pulled up to sitting, and if we set her up in the Boppy pillow or surround her with some other supportive objects she is content for a few minutes (that's a lot in baby time) to play with her toys and wave her hands. We've been trying her out in the "frog position," a tripod with her hands helping to support her when she's sitting up, and even though she's still pretty wobbly she seems to like it!
She makes it look pretty easy in the picture above, but it is quite a process to get to that point:
In addition to "sitting," Natalie is also getting pretty proficient at moving herself around the rooom. For a few weeks now, she's been scootching her way around either by dragging her legs behind her or burying her face in the rug and pushing herself forward with the back half of her body, which has been quite effective at moving her short distances. This week she's added full body rolls to her traveling repertoire, and will roll back-to-front-to-back-to-front over and over to make her way from one end of a room to the other. As soon as we are quick enough to catch some footage of it on film, I'll be posting it here!
