taylor family reunion

This past weekend the Meredith, NH contingent of Taylors hosted our family reunion! It was in the works while I was pregnant with Natalie, and I remember thinking how much fun it was going to be to introduce our little baby to all of her cousins! It seemed so far away at the time, and now here it is the week after we were all together, and I can't believe it's already over. It was a great time--the Taylors know how to have fun!

My dad is one of four brothers, and the family has only gotten bigger from there--there were fifteen "little ones" of Natalie's generation in attendance. One great thing about having all of those kids around was that there was never a shortage of hands to hold Natalie and keep her entertained. Here are two of her cousins (I have no idea how the 2nd-cousin-once-removed stuff works... so we'll stick with "cousin"), Emily and Abby, who were super baby-holders all weekend:

We all tried to get a picture of the 15 great-grandkids, which was easier said than done. Keeping 15 kids under the age of 11 (including 10 under age 5) in one place is quite nearly impossible. This is the best I could do:

And here are three of the kids I missed the first time around:

We spent Saturday of the reunion cooking out at my cousin Bronwen's house, playing lawn games, eating good food, and visiting. On Sunday everyone gathered at the lake, and we attempted another big group photo:

It was wonderful to have a chance to spend time with so much of our family, and I think we're all hoping to make it an annual tradition.

When we hit the road, Natalie spent most of the car ride home alternating sleeping and playing with her toes, which are her new favorite toys:

After a weekend on the road, our little budgie has gotten back into her routine with relative ease, and we're doing our best to catch up on sleep and get ready for the Flagg family reunion that's coming up this weekend!
