welcome to the world, baby girl!

Natalie Iris Flagg entered the world at last, via c-section, at 8:32am on March 26th, 2010. Weighing in at a hefty 8 lbs 14 oz, and measuring 22 inches long, she is a big ol' healthy baby and we are completely in love with her. Here she is getting some of her vitals checked out soon after delivery:



Natalie's first day (we can't believe she's not even 24 hours old yet!) has been filled with excitement. From meeting her Aunt Emma....

Learning to breastfeed (which she does like a champ... the nurses here say they've never seen such a vigorous, hungry baby at one day old!)...

Meeting Nana and Poppy, who were her first hospital visitors.

And doing a lot of lying awake in her bassinet, checking out all the lights, sounds, and smells around her.

We still can't figure out who she looks like... from her massive cheeks to her long fingers, her nose that would make a boxer proud, and her feathery eyelashes, she is one of a kind. She's made us happier already than we ever could have imagined. I'm resting relatively comfortably, and Mike has been an incredible help to me. I'll have a more thorough birth story post up sometime in the next week or so, and you can be sure we'll be taking bajillions of pictures to share very soon!
