Wah, Advent is over! I'm so sad to say goodbye to Christmas, but we're stretching these 12 days out to their full potential while on a glorious winter vacation all together. Our tree is dropping needles everywhere, we're in a sugary food coma, and I still can't stop listening to Christmas carols--I'm just not ready to say goodbye to St. Nick and all of his snowy magic. Here is a look at our final evenings of Advent:
A little (untitled) Santa board book
Has Anyone Seen Christmas?
Winnie the Pooh's Christmas (yes, another Winnie the Pooh Christmas book)
Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer
A gorgeous pop-up version of The Night Before Christmas, last year's gift from Jay and Amelia
On Christmas Eve we got to enjoy "The Christmas Story" read aloud by Poppy
And her final Advent gift was a new pair of Christmas jammies. Christmas jams are an annual tradition in our family, starting way back when my dad and his brothers were little boys and my grandmother would pinch her pennies to get all three of them a new pair of snuggly pajamas to wear for Christmas morning. Christmas jams are probably one of my very favorite things on this earth, and nothing could be cuter than seeing my little budgie dancing around in her flannel set next to the Christmas tree as we counted down to bedtime.
This looks like the most wonderful Christmas! I'm so sad to see it go, too!! I wish it could all last a little longer. I bet our kids would agree:)
