We've been in full-on holiday-eating-family-vacation-stuffing-our-faces mode since Wednesday morning, which has been pretty awesome, I gotta say. When I got home from work at 6 o'clock on Tuesday evening, we did a little dancey-dance alongside Natalie to celebrate our 5 days off as a family, and we haven't looked back since.
Pretty much everywhere in Maine got a significant snowstorm into Wednesday morning, but we manage to squeak by with just a little freezing rain. We braved the snowy roads just a few miles away and enjoyed story hour at the library until the power went out and we were sent back home. Wednesday was our MooHooVille Thanksgiving, so we spent the rest of the day eating our own feast of lobsters, scallops, shrimp, and chocolate covered strawberries. You know, like the pilgrims.
Here are a few pictures of our day, including Natalie meeting her dinner before he was unceremoniously tossed in a pot of boiling water. The poor kid went into hysterics, screaming for her "LAWSTAH!" before she was finally distracted enough to forget that she was about to eat him.
Oh my gosh, I'm traumatized on her behalf!
ReplyDeleteI went around randomly declaring "Law-ster!!" in an anguished voice the rest of the day. I wish I was kidding. ROFL
i knowww, i felt so sad for her! we got a little video of her sads, but i felt like a terrible parent for considering posting it... :)
