steppin' out sunday: boots & burgers

We have had two extremely low-key weekends in a row, which has felt pretty ah-mazing, I gotta say.  I don't really blog about work, so I'll just say that it's been kind of kickin' my tush of late and leave it at that.  I've needed some restful weekends as a result, and these have been just the ticket.  Taking naps, drinking wine, eating home-cooked meals, and taking sunny strolls around town have been our primary activities, with the exception of a little outing for burgers this afternoon.

Here is what we wore:

On Mama:
Cardigan:  B. Moss, forever ago
Button down:  Old Navy
Belt:  NY&Co.
Jeans:  TJ Maxx
Leg Warmers:  Goodwill
Boots:  JC Penney

On the budgie:
Turtleneck:  thrifted Carter's
Denim jumper:  thrifted Children's Place
Tights:  JC Penney
Boots:  thrifted Children's Place

Before we piled in the car to head out for a late lunch, miss Natalie and I kicked up our heels in the leaves for a bit.  She is mildly obsessed with raking leaves, and loves to alternately drag around her child-sized rake and then demand "Mommy's!" so she can use mine.  It's pretty darn cute.

All three of us ended up getting cheeseburgers and shared curly fries, pickles, and apples.  Natalie's meal came with an ice cream cone with sprinkles, which thrilled her to no end.  "Whaaas dees?" she kept asking, picking up the sprinkles and licking them off her fingers.  She'd repeat "pinkles!"  after we told her what they were called, and ate every. single. one.  And every morsel of cone & drop of ice cream.

Linking up with Mandy!

  1. Um, that picture of Natalie in front of the door, in her dress, needs to be sent to a kids' magazine, because she is cover girl material. SO darn adorable. I want to scoop her up!
