steppin' out: a weekend recap

Sunday night already? How is that possible??

Today marks the end of a 9-day visit from our dear friend Harper, which was a fabulous whirlwind of too much food, too much wine, not enough sleep, and just enough laughter. I've been away from the blogosphere for most of that time, and, despite a bit of separation anxiety, it's been a nice little breather. I'm thinking of it as preparation for my upcoming trip home to The County (for my, gulp, 10 year high school reunion & miss Amanda's bridal shower), where I will be away from the internet altogether for several days. But not to worry--I've asked some of my favorite mommy bloggers to pinch hit for me while I'm in no man's land.

But, back to the matter at hand: Steppin' Out!

The adults stepped out for a leisurely lunch at our favorite restaurant on Friday while Natalie was at daycare, and this is what I wore:

Dress: Old Navy
Denim Jacket: Gap
Wallet (just used to show off my favorite new nails--Sally Hanson!): Macy's, don't know the brand
Earrings: Mace's (local)

Natalie has had a very stylish weekend, thanks to a big sale at BabyGap. She's looked so darn cute lately, I have been having such fun dressing her up. Sorry for the total picture overload, but I couldn't pick just one outfit for her this week!

Friday, daycare:

Cardigan: gifted, Children's Place
Graphic Tee: Baby Gap
Shorts: Baby Gap

Saturday, spent at the Children's Museum with Harper and Daddy, and visiting with her Aunt Emma:

Tunic dress & matching bloomers: Baby Gap
Silver Sandals (so cute, though not pictured, boo): Teeny Toes, Payless
Hair bow: Goodwill

Sunday, out for breakfast with the grown-ups, picking up our veggie share & running errands

Straw Fedora: Baby Gap
Tunic: Baby Gap
Shorts: Old Navy
Sandals: Wal-Mart

Harper's visit felt like our own little staycation, and the idea of being back to the reality of work tomorrow morning has given me a bit of the blues this evening. The remedy for these sads will be a lovely fish dinner and glass of wine on the porch after Natalie's bath & bedtime. I'm hoping to sneak in a bit of Netflix and rope Mikey into giving me a foot rub before we tuck in for the night.

Hope you all had great weekends! Linking up with Harper's Happenings, of course!
