Happy Friday, all! I am so excited to be ending this week with a Freebie Friday giveaway from Ashley at bowerbird handmade. I have the good fortune of knowing Ashley in real life through my out-of-home working gig, and have been amazed at her artistic talent for all the years I've known her.

Through bowerbird handmade, Ashley sells all kinds of gorgeous hand-crafted items, like notecards, pendants, hair ties, and earrings. Her shop is named for a species of bird indiginous to Australia and New Guinea, the bowerbird. In her words, "Male bowerbirds are known for making elaborate nests to attract females. They are especially drawn to all things pretty, shiny, colorful, or that might have interesting shapes and textures. They use a combination of natural objects (flowers, seeds, nuts, sticks) as well as man-made objects (anything from paperclips to candy wrappers) to construct their bowers for potential mates. They are recyclers, avid collectors of small beautiful things, and creators with an impeccable sense of aesthetics. I have a lot in common with these birds. In my art studio I have jars upon jars of buttons, sequins, marbles, sea glass, pottery shards and other findings all arranged and carefully sorted, at the ready to build my own eye-catching pieces of art. We all use color, shape, and texture to adorn ourselves and our dwelling spaces in hopes of enhancing our appearance, standing out, making a statement, or catching someone's eye. Like the bowerbird I just can't seem to stop arranging, building, and decorating my nest with happy little treasures."

She has graciously offered up a couple of treasures for one lucky BabyMooHoo reader--two packs of beautiful blank notecards, which feature her original artwork! The notecards are printed in Maine, on chlorine-free, 100% post-consumer recycled paper, which I love. They are beautiful and simple, perfect for any occasion (doesn't the Nest one seem so spot on for baby shower thank-you's?!). I'm so excited about this giveaway!
